No one knows but you and God, so what are you thinking about? What is your idle time spent doing or thinking about?
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. - Philippians 4:8
If you struggle to keep your mind on “these things” let me give you two suggestions to consider. First, try spending more time in God’s word getting to know him better. Second, try spending more time around God’s people. Be friendly with everyone, but who you “hang out” with really does make a difference. If you are struggling, we’re here for you, I’m here for you, God is here for you. You are not alone...that’s another one of Satan’s lies. We are a family!
Your mind is a sponge and the more you fill it with true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, good, excellence, & anything worthy of praise, the more you’ll think on “these things”. The more likely when it’s “squeezed” in stressful or tough situations “these things” will come out. It’s not rocket science, it’s a simple equation. Put the right stuff in and the right stuff will come out.
