When I came across this image I thought, what a beautiful image of what our relationship with God’s word should be.

To feel wrapped in the words of the Lord through every aspect of life is the relationship we want, we need and the way His words were meant to be received.

Challenge Questions

If God’s word could physically embrace us would we embrace the word of the Lord back? Do we have the capability to lead our lives embracing these verses of faith and worship, of guidance and love?

While strolling down 12 South in Nashville on a sunny afternoon and saw God’s word in physical form walking towards us, would we wave and say hello?

If you were checking out your favorite book from the library in Brentwood, Tennessee and the pages of the Lord walked in, would you embrace it or keep your head down and avoid the interaction?

When attending mass at the Concord Road Church of Christ you are presented with the opportunity to sit down and chat with God’s words, do you accept the invite?

The Takeaway

Look into your true, genuine relationship with the word of God, and be honest with yourself when understanding where you could embrace the Lord’s word more. Have you spent the amount of time needed in order to know the word, soak in its glory, take comfort in the teachings of the church and God? Have you allowed these words from God to shape your life, direct your pathway and connect? Take the time to educate yourself further on the teachings of our Lord.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

Our understanding of what we like, what we want and what makes sense to us will lead us astray. Search the scriptures and acknowledge God as the King of your life and #StudyTheWord
