The Gospel in a Word is Love
The world distorts, twists, crunches, and mutilates love. It has become an emotional cry to allow people to live and act however they want, and if you don’t agree...well you need to be more loving.
In the right context we can allow the statement “You need to be more loving” to have an impact on our soul as we strive to be more like Christ. In the wrong context that statement, if carried out, can have an adverse effect on our soul and the soul’s of others.
Faith, Hope, & Love remain and the greatest of these is love...but not the “Love” that Satan flaunts about, that the world twists and distorts. No, the greatest of these is the love Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
True Love, the Love we have from Christ, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in TRUTH. Love is not an action by which we become passive and content with sin. Love is the answer for how we go about addressing the issue of sin and brokenness in our lives first, and then the lives of others. Love one another for love is of God.
