Senior Spotlight - Keller Montgomery
Keller will be graduating from Lipscomb Academy where he has attended since kindergarten. Keller and his family have been attending Concord Road for the past seven years. He has enjoyed being involved in the youth group, as well as participating in church camp, CYC, a mission trip to Kayenta, Arizona, Lads to Leaders, song leading, and volunteering in vacation Bible school.
Just like his older brothers, Keller loves to sing. While attending Lipscomb, he has been active in chorus since the fourth grade. He has been Bass Section Leader in the Lipscomb Academy Concert Chorus for the past two years. He has also had the distinction of being selected to the Tennessee All State Chorus every year he was eligible to audition and All Region Chorus in previous years. For the past three years, he has also been a member of the LAcappella singing group, performing with the chorus and at other Lipscomb events.
In addition to chorus, Keller's other love is to perform on the stage. Since the seventh grade, he has acted in ten Lipscomb theater productions. Some of his roles include Professor Plum (Clue the Musical), Benjamin (Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Prince Topher (Cinderella), and most recently, the Mad Hatter from (Alice in Wonderland). Last May, he won Standout Male Soloist for his performance as Prince Topher at the Spotlight Awards at TPAC. Keller's favorite role ever was earlier this school year when he had the awesome privilege to play the lead role of Edward Bloom in Big Fish the Musical.
Keller will be graduating in the top 10% of his class and with an Academic Honors Diploma. He hopes to continue singing in the chorus and performing on stage when he attends Harding University this fall. Keller plans to pursue a double major in theater and communications and a minor in English. His post-graduation plan is to attend law school.
