Evidence of God
Have you ever done something stupid? Well, I did last week..at least once. Thursday, I started to run home from the building that afternoon. Having spent all day in the AC, I simply didn’t think about the heat index. A couple of miles in, I could tell hydration was going to be an issue, as the Sun beat down. By the time I passed by the Governor’s Club, I called Tara and asked her to meet me at Owl Creek Park, knowing I wouldn’t be able to make it much further than that. Turns out the heat index was mid 90’s that day, and running home between 3-4pm was poor timing.
The next morning after taking Grant to 5:30am Cross Country practice, I laced up my running shoes and took off for the building. In the cool of the early morning I began to think wow...the difference between running in the morning sun vs afternoon sun is amazing. In fact, I ran the 10 miles to the building 14 seconds a mile faster than I had run 4.6 miles just 12 hours earlier. It makes one wonder, if part of the earth didn’t cool off as it rotated to night, or heat up as it rotated to day? If the earth were a few miles closer, or a few miles further from the sun? Hmmm...
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” - Romans 1:20 #GloryToGod
If you take the time to look around and think, actually think, we truly are without excuse. “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.” - Psalms 19:1
This Fall quarter we will think, discuss, & contemplate the work of His hands as our Middle School studies Answers in Genesis & our High School class studies Christian Evidences. Hope you are looking forward to it, I know I am.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.” - Psalms 24:1
