What do you Glory in?

What do you Glory in?

To often we see accomplishments as what I have done, what I have accomplished, and what I did on my own. This is certainly the example we get from the world, those around us, and all over our social media feeds.

Don’t ever forget to give God the glory in all that you do (need a wake up moment, read Acts 12:22-24). This is true in physical, mental, & spiritual accomplishments.

There is nothing wrong with posting accomplishments, taking pride in hard work, or sharing with others your success, as long as you stay humble, knowing who gave it to you. God is in control & He has blessed us with different abilities that can be used to serve Him. We serve & obey him to show our love by keeping His commandments (John 14), but we are not to glory in our accomplishments or obedience alone, forgetting who blesses & saves us.

Paul writes in his letter to the Galatians (6:14) “may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” He is reminding all, that those who take pride in their works alone are foolish. Without the Cross of Christ nothing matters. Our glory, our works, our goodness, is foolishness compared to the Cross of Christ..

“Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” Revelation 14:7
